EXPANSION OF PROCESS AND PLANT TECHNOLOGY I HÄRTHA TÜBINGEN SITE

The process and plant technology at HÄNDLE Härterei GmbH has been expanded by the addition of a new cleaning plant. Component cleaning before and after heat treatment is a firmly established and integral part of heat treatment processes. Residues left on workpiece surfaces affect not only the result of the heat treatment, but also the functioning of the heat treatment plant. The choice of cleaning agent at HÄNDLE has been made in favour of a slightly alkaline aqueous cleaner. In addition to good cleaning effect, this also enables an exact harmonisation with plant equipment, component geometry, and different types of soiling. Besides the cleaning agent, the engineering of the cleaning plant is also an important factor. The decision was therefore made at HÄNDLE for a plant with three cleaning stages. The plant provides the options of spray and immersion cleaning for each bath and is even prepared for optional ultrasonic-assisted cleaning. The idle time between cleaning and heat treatment processes can be minimised by cleaning the complete heat treatment charge. This results in shorter processing times and therefore a faster delivery time.
